Downtown San Diego from Coronado Island
San Diego is a wonderful place to spend a few days. Please ask us for tourist information, or visit www.sandiego.org for more info.
Balboa Park museums: The Botanical Building and Timken Museum of Art are always free at Balboa Park. The Museum of Photo Arts and San Diego Historical Society Museum are free on Tuesday the 10th. A $21 one-week passport may also be purchased allowing admission into12 different Balboa Park Museums. Old Town Museums and exhibits are mostly free. There is also a walking tour every hour from the Seeley Stables Museum, or recorded self-guided tours are available for $2.
The Old Town "Trolley" sightseeing bus runs a two-hour circuit to most major San Diego attractions, with on/off privileges at each stop, for $24. There is a stop one block from the Hacienda Hotel. (Please do not confuse this with the San Diego Trolley, which operates the main rail transit lines in the city.)
A marked sightseeing route circles through the city if you have a car and half a day. The trip out to Point Loma for a view back across the bay is on this tour.
