Arriving by car: via I-5 south from LA area:
Ignore the signed exit for Old Town State Park at the Seaworld exit unless you are adventurous. Two exits after it, take “Old Town Ave.” exit (currently unnumbered). Turn left at the stop sign onto Old Town Ave. At the second light, turn left onto San Diego Ave. Keep to the right where the road forks. At the second stop sign, turn right onto Harney. The Hacienda Hotel is on the right.
Via I-8 from the east:
Take the “Taylor St. – Hotel Circle” exit (currently unnumbered). Continue through the light across the bridge veering right onto Taylor St. Travel parallel to the freeway to the third light; turn left onto Juan St. At the second stop sign, turn right onto Harney. The Hacienda Hotel is on the left.
Via I-15 from the north:
Exit to I-8 westbound, then follow instructions above.
Arriving by air: call the hotel from the phones at baggage claim; the shuttle should arrive in ten to fifteen minutes. You can also call from any phone to 1-800-888-1991.
Via rental car from the airport: Hertz, Avis, National: turn left from Rental Car Drive onto Harbor Blvd. At the third light, turn left onto Laurel. At the first light, turn left onto Pacific Highway. At the fourth light (about two miles), turn right onto Taylor St. At the first light (across the tracks) turn right onto Congress. At the second stop sign, turn left onto Harney. The Hacienda hotel is two blocks on the right.
Via rental car from other companies: most other rental cars are along Pacific Highway. Go north on Pacific Highway to Taylor St. (may be four or fewer stop lights), then follow directions above.
Arriving by train: call the hotel at 1-800-888-1991; the shuttle should arrive in ten to fifteen minutes. You can also transfer to the trolley at the train station.
Arriving by trolley: Old Town trolley station is about
five blocks from the hotel. To walk, cross Congress St. and walk
through the park area on San Diego Ave. to Harney St. Turn left on
Harney. The Hacienda Hotel is on the right. It’s longer to
walk down Congress to Harney, but that works too. Or, someone
from the con might be able to give you a ride if you’ve got lots of luggage;
